The VSP-specific maximum is ±400 mA despite the general 1 A wording on the manufacturer page. EIS is optional. The internal 4 A booster occupies two slots and requires a control board.

For new multichannel installations, compare the VSP-3e and its eight-slot, 1 A configuration. Installed boards determine the number of independent channels.
