The second slot can hold another potentiostat board or an internal option board; two slots do not always mean two independent channels. Confirm EIS on the second board. Base current is ±500 mA.
Plan the configuration
Consider two potentiostat boards for independent experiments or bipotentiostat RRDE measurements. An internal expansion can occupy the second slot. Compare SP-200 if only one measurement channel is needed.
